We welcome you to Omnitool and would ask for your help in achieving our goal for every employee or visitor to our premises to be able to go home injury free at the end of their shift or visit.

In the interests of safety, visitors to the premises have a duty to comply with our Health and Safety Policy, procedures and safe working practices.

All visitors must enter their details on arrival, signing to acknowledge these rules have been read and understood by reading our Visitor Cards. Please ask reception if you require any further assistance.

Unless you are informed to the contrary, there will be no fire drills today or testing of the fire alarm. That means if you hear the fire alarm, it is not a test and you should follow the directions of your host or the person you are here to meet. In the event of a fire please follow the company’s evacuation procedure as detailed on the fire notices posted around the building.

The assembly point is located at the entrance to the yard. Your host will guide you to this point where a roll call will be taken. Until directed otherwise please follow the directions of your host until the incident is declared over or until you are allowed back inside the building.

It is noted that no smoking is permitted within these premises.

We use forklift trucks in the Yard and Shop Floor and although they are operated by trained drivers, you must be aware of them and take care not to impinge on their movement.

Please obey the signs on display for maximum vehicle speed of 5 MPH in the yard.

Please be aware that our exit from the yard is situated at a bend in the road, which has poor line of sight in both directions.

Please take extra care when leaving our yard by vehicle.

Personal protective equipment and/or clothing may be provided for your protection. Please follow instructions for its use.

Our visitors are not required to wear safety boots as long as they are only walking in the designated areas of the shop floor accompanied by their host.

We ask all our visitors to wear approved safety glasses when they are on the shop floor. These glasses do not have to be worn in any other area of the site. Your host will provide you with a suitable pair of non-prescription glasses if you require them.

Accidents to visitors must be reported to a member of the management team or reception without delay.

There are First Aid stations in the canteen and the offices.

Eye Wash stations are located around the shopfloor.
